Skating on the surface of Shishahai

The winter chills cool down the heat of bars surrounding ShiChaHai/HouHai. Those bar fans are probabely killing their time by watching DVD and playing computer games in their well heated room. At the moment ShiChaHai, the only free open water in Beijing city becomes the heaven for those skaters and winter swimmers who just love the coldness.

There are kids who just begin to learn skating, old people who find back their lost youth, lovers who skating side by side, friends who are launghing and kidding with each others, dogs who are so exciting and cautious...no cats (they are lying on the top of the rooves watching this crazy group with carelessness while sun bathing) all are indulged in the games and enjoying such particular gift from winter.

The old buildings along the lake, the drum and bell towers in the not far distance, the laughters in the air...time changed many things, while somethings will never be changed.
